Getting fit again has been on my agenda for a long time now, and I have finally come up with a plan that will allow me to achieve my goal of getting back down to a weight of around 200lb or 90Kg, however I would prefer to get down to around 75Kg, and today is the start of a long project to help me get back to that ideal weight for myself.

I hope to lose somewhere between 1 – 3 lbs or more per week. Which will put me at my ideal weight roughly in 1 – 2 years. This is a long-term commitment, and I think I am ready for the challenge.

I have recently bought a cross trainer for myself to help burn off all the excess weight that I am carrying. Along with this, I intend to stick to a strict but healthy diet, which I will outline another time.

During the next few years I will be writing about my experiences trying to lose weight and get fit once again. I would like to ask anyone who has any negative comments to please keep them to themselves, as this could badly influence how motivated I get, and then screw my up my entire plan, which I don’t need right now and I hope you can respect that. I need all the support and encouragement I can get from friends and family and anyone else who is willing to offer it! If you find that you do need to say something, words of encouragement are more than welcome.

Stagecoach – Replies and Responses

Today I received my response from Stagecoach regarding the complaint that I made on the 13th. The response I received was not in any way adequate. In the letter, Richard Tyldsley comes across as though he was “sorry to hear that [I] have again experienced distress”, this is all well and good but does not solve my problem, and in no way should he be the one apologising to me or my daughter.

He goes on to say, “the number of correspondence received about this issue, compared to the tremendous number of passenger journeys made does not reflect a wide spread issue”. This statement may very well be true, but does it also account for the amount of passengers who have been caught off guard when the bus pulled away and not complained? I highly doubt it!

Stagecoach – Again!

[Disclaimer]

Throughout the past 8 years of living in Winchester, I have used Stagecoach as my primary means of travel around the city. Using their services to get to work, to go shopping, to take my kids to school and pick them up and even go out on day trips.

As a frequent user of Stagecoach’s services, I have noticed a growing trend of disregard for the safety of their passengers over the past couple of years. On more than one occasion the driver has injured my children; myself or other passengers due to carelessness.

If you are a reader of my blog and have followed my writing for some time, you would know that this is not the first time Stagecoach have hurt either my family or myself. Approximately a year ago, I made a formal complaint against one of the drivers because he pulled away in haste and my daughter, Chloé, who was 2 years old at the time, fell over and hurt herself. If I had not of reacted as quick as I did, I would have fell over and landed on her, which would have caused significant injuries.

Growing Carrots

A while back I decided I want to try and grow something. That something ended up being carrots. Something simple, and something that we could test to see if it was worth it.

Maybe I didn’t let them grow for long enough, although it seems like it has been around 3 months. I’m not sure how long you are meant to be growing them for, but I would have thought that would have been ample time!

Through out the beginning of them growing, I took pictures of their progress, and the final result, you can see this below;

A new beginning

Both Ryan, and Chloé started school today. Chloé for the first time, and Ryan going into year 1. Chloé has been looking forward to playschool so much since she had her first taster session back in March. She enjoyed it so much, that she didn’t want to leave!

Unfortunately I’m not the one taking Chloé to school, but I got Kate to grab some photos of her this morning and I will be taking photos of Ryan on his return to school!
